TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Overview
These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by The Front Door Edit, operated by The Edits By MY LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing any service from The Front Door Edit, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
2. Services
The Front Door Edit provides luxury seasonal porch decorating services, including design, delivery, installation, and optional post-season removal.
Every installation is thoughtfully designed and curated specifically for each client. While certain design elements may be similar, each porch is individually styled based on the home's architecture, available inventory, and seasonal materials.
3. Booking & Payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking to reserve your preferred service week.
Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been successfully processed.
We accept all major credit cards through our secure online checkout.
All sales are final once payment has been processed.
The Legacy Edit and Storefront Edit require a custom consultation and quote before payment is collected.
4. Scheduling & Service Dates
Clients select a preferred installation week during booking.
The exact installation day within that week is determined solely by The Front Door Edit based on scheduling efficiency, route planning, and weather conditions.
We will email your confirmed installation date within 24 hours of booking.
We reserve the right to adjust scheduling within the selected service week due to weather, logistics, supply availability, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Service dates are not guaranteed until officially confirmed by our team.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
All sales are final.
No refunds will be issued once payment has been processed.
Cancellation requests must be submitted at least seven (7) days before your scheduled service week.
Cancellations received fewer than seven (7) days before your scheduled week are not eligible for refunds or credits.
If The Front Door Edit must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, we may, at our discretion, reschedule your installation or issue a full refund.
6. Weather Policy
We work in most weather conditions whenever it is safe to do so.
Should severe weather—including heavy rain, high winds, excessive heat, wildfire conditions, or other unsafe circumstances—prevent installation, we reserve the right to reschedule your installation within the same week or the following week.
Weather-related rescheduling does not qualify for refunds.
7. Property Access & Liability
By booking our services, you authorize The Front Door Edit to access your front porch, entryway, driveway, or other designated installation area.
Clients agree to:
Ensure the installation area is clean, accessible, and safe.
Remove pets or obstacles before our arrival.
Provide any necessary gate or entry access.
The Front Door Edit maintains general liability insurance for services performed but is not responsible for:
Theft
Vandalism
Damage caused by weather
Damage caused by third parties after installation is complete
8. Post-Season Removal
Post-season removal is available as an optional add-on service.
Removal currently begins at $150, with pricing subject to change based on the size and complexity of the installation.
Removal must be reserved separately unless otherwise included in your package.
Clients who do not purchase removal are responsible for disposing of all seasonal décor.
The Front Door Edit is not responsible for décor remaining on the property after the agreed removal date.
9. Service Area
We currently serve:
San Jose
Los Gatos
Los Altos
Saratoga
Campbell
Willow Glen
Additional surrounding communities may be accepted at our discretion and may require a travel fee.
10. Photography & Marketing
The Front Door Edit may photograph completed installations for use on our website, social media platforms, advertising, and other marketing materials.
We will never publish identifying personal information—including names, addresses, or recognizable faces—without written permission.
Clients wishing to opt out must notify us in writing before their scheduled installation date.
11. Seasonal Availability
Our fall decorating season generally runs from late September through late November.
Reservations typically open August 1 each year.
Availability is limited.
Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
We reserve the right to close bookings once seasonal capacity has been reached.
12. Natural Product Disclaimer
Pumpkins, corn stalks, hay, florals, branches, and other natural materials naturally change over time.
Color changes, cracking, softening, shrinking, mold, wilting, or deterioration are normal characteristics of natural products and are not considered defects.
The Front Door Edit makes no guarantee regarding the lifespan or ongoing appearance of natural materials after installation.
13. Pumpkin Wildlife Disclaimer
Outdoor seasonal décor may attract wildlife including squirrels, birds, raccoons, insects, or other animals.
The Front Door Edit is not responsible for wildlife-related damage, movement, consumption, or replacement of décor after installation.
14. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
By purchasing our services, the client acknowledges that seasonal décor—including pumpkins, hay bales, lanterns, florals, and decorative accessories—may present potential slip, trip, or fall hazards.
The client agrees to:
Exercise reasonable care around installed décor.
Inform household members and guests of decorative elements.
Assume responsibility for safely navigating around installed items.
The Front Door Edit, its owners, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for injuries, accidents, damages, or losses occurring after installation has been completed.
15. Property Damage Disclaimer
While every reasonable precaution is taken to protect your property, The Front Door Edit is not responsible for:
Existing property damage
Surface imperfections
Staining from pumpkins or natural materials
Water damage
Organic residue
Surface discoloration
Clients concerned about staining should provide protective coverings before installation.
Any concerns regarding installation must be reported in writing within 24 hours of service completion.
16. HOA Responsibility
Clients are solely responsible for ensuring their installation complies with any:
HOA regulations
Neighborhood rules
Municipal codes
Community restrictions
The Front Door Edit assumes no responsibility for fines, violations, or required removal resulting from HOA or governmental regulations.
17. Indemnification
The client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Front Door Edit, The Edits By MY LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, expenses, or reasonable attorney's fees arising from:
Use of our services
Violations of these Terms & Conditions
Injuries occurring after installation
Third-party claims relating to our work
18. Independent Contractor Status
The Front Door Edit operates as an independent contractor.
Nothing contained in these Terms shall be interpreted as creating a partnership, employment relationship, agency, or joint venture between the client and The Front Door Edit.
19. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in Santa Clara County, California.
20. Dispute Resolution
Before filing any legal claim, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation.
If resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Santa Clara County, California.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is determined to be unenforceable, all remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
22. Changes to Terms
The Front Door Edit reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Updated versions will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
23. Irrigation & Watering
The Front Door Edit is not responsible for deterioration caused by:
Irrigation systems
Overwatering
Standing water
Drip systems
Sprinklers
Moisture exposure after installation
24. Decorative Item Ownership
Unless otherwise stated in writing, all purchased décor becomes the property of the client upon installation.
Any rental items remain the property of The Front Door Edit and must be returned upon removal.
25. Force Majeure
The Front Door Edit shall not be liable for delays or inability to perform services resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Severe weather
Wildfires
Flooding
Natural disasters
Supply shortages
Labor disruptions
Government restrictions
Utility outages
Acts of God
Other unforeseen circumstances
26. Property Access Policy
If our team cannot safely access the property on the scheduled installation day due to locked gates, animals, construction, unsafe conditions, or inaccessible entryways, additional trip fees or rescheduling fees may apply.
27. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
Clients agree to contact The Front Door Edit before initiating any credit card dispute or chargeback.
The Front Door Edit reserves the right to contest chargebacks using booking confirmations, signed agreements, photographs of completed installations, delivery records, and these Terms & Conditions.
28. Satisfaction Policy
Client satisfaction is important to us.
Any concerns regarding the completed installation must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of completion.
After that period, the installation will be considered accepted and complete.
